The 2010 Annual
Meeting of the National Association of Publicly Traded Partnerships will
be held in Washington, DC, on Thursday, June 10th and Friday, June 11th.
Please mark your calendars and plan on joining us in our Nation's
Capital. The meeting will be held at the beautiful and historic
St. Regis Hotel
located at 16th and K Streets, NW, in downtown
Washington. Built in 1926, two blocks from The White House and the
Corcoran Gallery, the gracefully reimagined The St. Regis Washington,
D.C. presents itself as the most prestigious hotel for royalty,
presidents and prime ministers in the nation's capital. The property
has been recently renovated and is considered one of Washington's finest
locations to visit while in our city.
A limited number of rooms have been reserved on Wednesday
evening, June 9th and Thursday evening, June 10th for NAPTP members at
the rate of $325 per night. To make a room reservation, call
(888) 627-8087. Please mention "2010 Annual NAPTP Meeting"
when making your
reservations. This rate will be honored until May
19, 2010, provided rooms are still available. If our group rate is
unavailable or you need additional days, please contact the hotel
directly at 202-879-6962 and ask for Diego Figueroa. Reservation
requests can be handled directly by this staff person at the St. Regis
if the need arises.

Program
On Thursday, June 10th, there
will be sessions of various panels discussing topics of interest
to our Association members and those who support our industry.
Friday, June 11th will be the annual business meeting of the
NAPTP, including setting our agenda for the coming
months and election of directors. These meetings will
provide an opportunity for you to hear from industry experts,
tax professionals and those working on state and federal
legislative and regulatory initiatives on issues important to
PTPs. Subjects include:

Tax legislation affecting PTPs currently
under consideration by Congress

New and ongoing IRS regulatory projects
affecting PTPs
-
Financial reform and its potential impact
on PTPs
-
The ongoing debate over climate change
and energy policy
-
The latest thinking on incentive
distribution rights
The National Association of
Publicly Traded Partnerships is pleased to offer Continuing
Education Credits for those accountants attending this year’s
annual conference. NAPAP is registered with the National
Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor
of continuing education on the National Registry of CPE
